The Clothes Less Traveled Thrift Shop provided a grant of startup funds for a youth nature camp. In 2013 the camp was fully enrolled. CLTTS also provided a grant for the Nesmith Boardwalk & outdoor classroom project next to Starrs Mill School Complex as part of matching a challenge grant.
The Institute for Environmental Insight has provided a challenge grant for the outdoor classroom and boardwalk at the Nesmith Preserve by Starrs Mill School Complex.
The Community Foundation for Greater Atlanta provided a generous grant to develop the Morgan Grove Preserve as a Reforestation Demonstration Site. Funding provided trails, a wetland boardwalk, signage, and a visitor parking lot.
The Trust received a Kodak American Greenway Award through the Conservation Fund which provided funds for visitor signage at Morgan Grove Preserve and Sams Lake Bird Sanctuary.
The Norcross Wildlife Foundation provided a grant to purchase office equipment, software, and a projector for community presentations.
Andy’s Garden Club provided plants and volunteer hours to plant the park lot park at Morgan Grove Nature Area.
The Master Gardeners of Fayette County have provided funds for landscaping using native plants at Morgan Grove Preserve.
The Georgia Forestry Commission provided a professional recreation and forest management plan for Morgan Grove Preserve. Any forest landowner may apply for this service by a certified forester for their land.
