Curiosities: Museum of the Peculiar

November 4, 2022 @ 6:00 pm November 5, 2022 @ 9:00 pm

We are so excited to offer CURIOSITIES: Museum of the Peculiar- Halloween at the Fayette Environmental Education Center as a two-day family-friendly event that is free to the community. This is the first time we have offered our Halloween activities as a free community event, with the goal of building good environmental stewards by encouraging community members to connect with each other and the surrounding natural (and supernatural) world. Join us for a spirited good time as we unlock our cabinets of curiosities to explore extraordinary objects and learn more about the wonders and oddities of Halloween and the natural world.

Friday, October 28th

9 am – 1 pm

FEEC is open to the public, offering a Halloween-themed scavenger hunt and crafts, and plenty of treats with fewer nighttime tricks. Show off your costumes and explore the Museum of the Peculiar while our resident spirits rest up for their nightly terrors of ghoulish delight.

Friday, October 28th and Saturday, October 29th

6 pm – 9 pm

FEEC is open to the public as the Museum of the Peculiar comes alive under cover of night. Explore our grounds as you follow our Trick-or-Treat Trail through the barnyard, gardens, and perhaps a graveyard or two. Dress to impress in your best costume as you tour the Museum of the Peculiar at your own pace and make sure to enjoy coffee from Café 503.

Parking is available at the back of the Fayette County Public Library parking lot. Please follow the signs and trail leading up to the nature center.
