Homeschool Day: Georgia Adopt-A-Stream- Chemical Monitoring (with optional certification)

Join us for this month’s Homeschool Day program: Georgia Adopt-A-Stream- Chemical Monitoring (with optional certification). Learn about Georgia’s community science Adopt-A-Stream program through the Environmental Protection Division! We’ll discuss the program, QA/QC protocols, how you can get involved to protect the waterways in your area and practice the monitoring techniques. If interested in getting certified, an additional hour-long practice session will be conducted at the Ridge (weather permitting), with a short test at the end. Great for high school students applying for college! Appropriate for ages 9+, younger students are welcome to participate with adult assistance.

This program will also be available November 14, 2023. Advanced registration is required. Space is limited!

Parking is currently available on the south side of the Fayette County Library parking lot until downtown construction is complete. Look for the SCT sign and follow the short trail.  For any questions regarding cancellations, program topics, and planning, please email [email protected].
