The Southern Conservation Trust’s new Trails for Troop’s program is a new way for us to give back to our community and provide access to the therapeutic benefits of nature to our troops, veterans, and first-responders. All supporters are welcome to join us in this exciting new way to enjoy nature.
Trails for Troops is a Veteran Operated hiking group that offers camaraderie for those who have served. The physical level of activities will vary from a light walk to ruck marches to more strenuous trail runs. This is a free program for all participants and funding solely through generous community contributions and sponsors.
Group-based recreational experience and spending time in restorative natural environments have proven significant positive impacts on Vets. Trails for Troops encourages all Veteran’s, those who have served, first-responders and supporters to attend.
New hike dates to be posted soon.
All veterans, first responders, and supporters welcome. Rucksacks between 10 – 30 pounds are recommended. Tees will be available for purchase, this is a free event.
